Our company
AIR KONA provides daily bus transport services between Austria and Bulgaria.
"AIR KONA" Ltd was founded in 1991. The main goal was to provide highly comfortable and reliable transportation between Austria and Bulgaria. In the same year the company signed a contract with two of the biggest transport companies in Austria: Blaguss Reisen and Austratrans.
AIR KONA owns the license Nr. 0004 from the agreement of the International Carriage of Passengers by Road by means of Occasional Coach and Bus Services (ASOR). It is one of the first companies with such permission.
For 15 years our company is the only international bus service between Bulgaria and Austria.
After years of daily rates between Sofia and Vienna and accumulating lots of experience, in the late 90's the company launches more bus routes to other cities in Austria: Linz, Graz and Salzburg. AIR KONA also opened new routes in Italy. It began to offer daily transports between the cities Triest, Mestre, Bologna and Florence. In 2009 AIR KONA won the award "Best Touring Bus Company for International Transportation" given by the renowned Bulgarian magazine “Buses & Vans”. The company has 40 employees (administration staff, drivers and mechanics) with many years of experience in the area of bus transportation.
